Simon is a Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) and Registered Tax Agent whose career has been spent in business services and advisory.
Beyond the practice, he's the Director and CFO of a multi-entity allied health group running clinics across Brisbane — so he doesn't just advise business owners, he is one. That operator's perspective shapes how Functional works: less tidy-ledger accounting, more clarity on what the numbers mean and what to do next.
Functional is led by two principals. Alongside Simon, the practice's other principal brings experience across Big 4 and leading mid-tier firms, with particular depth in business services, taxation and franchise structures.
